How to Get a Library CardResidents Of the City Of Pontiac
Residents Of Eppards Point, Esmen, Pike, and Rooks Creek TownshipsYour township government has agreed to reimburse the library for the cost of your library card. You must follow all of the items required of City Of Pontiac residents above. Residents Of Avoca and Owego TownshipsYour township government has agreed to reimburse the library for the cost of your library card. You must follow all of the items required of City Of Pontiac residents above AND you must bring with you the letter sent to you from your township government indicating they will reimburse us for your library card. Owners Of Property In the City Of PontiacIf you do not reside in the City Of Pontiac, but you own property in the city, you are eligible for a library card. You must bring your local property tax receipt to the library when you apply for a card. Non-Residents With Home Library CardIf none of the above apply to you and you have a valid library card from your home public library, simply bring it in and we will add you to our database to check materials out free of charge. Non-Residents Without Library CardIf none of the above apply to you and you do not have a library card from another public library and we are the closest public library to you, we must charge $35 per family for a library card for one year. This charge is recalculated each year based on the amount of taxes an average family in the City Of Pontiac pays to support the Pontiac Public Library. |
